My recomendation for audio is to update your windows xp to SP3(service pack 3), because lots of users report sound disappear after restart, but a user report it works with SP3. Make sure if you update to sp3 Install only kb835221 and restart after that install IDT(sp39671) or (SP41500). i recomend use sp39671.
